Yorkshire Air Ambulance is an essential charity that provides a life-saving rapid response emergency service to over 5 million individuals across the Yorkshire area. Their incredible work relies on donations and generosity, so if you are able to and would like to make a donation, you can donate on their website.
There are some exciting events and initiatives coming up which we have listed below for your reference.
What’s On:
- Yorkshire Shooting Show (24th &25th September): This weekend head to Doncaster Race Course for the Yorkshire Shooting Show 2022, which will be packed with attractions, product launches and fun things for everyone to do. One of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance helicopters is scheduled to make an appearance on the 24th September.
- Yorkshire Balloon Fiesta (23rd-25th September): If the shooting show isn’t your thing, why not head to York Racecourse and visit the largest hot air balloon festival in the North of England? Not only will they have the balloon launch, but there are some fantastic music acts including Scouting for Girls and Craig Charles appearing on Friday night.
- YAA St Johns Pop Up Charity Shop (30th September): This pop up shop in the St John Shopping Centre in Leeds is open from 10am – 3pm. All funds raised from the merchandise help with the maintenance of the YAA helicopters and rapid response vehicles, and keep them saving lives across the UK.
- YAA 22nd Birthday (25th October): This promised to be an exciting event to celebrate 22 years of saving lives across Yorkshire. Keep your eyes peeled on YAA social media for further announcements.
- YAA Christmas Lunch (9th December): YAA are hosting a spectacular Christmas lunch at Wentbridge House Hotel. There will be welcome drinks, live entertainment, a 3-course meal and even a Christmas market for you to browse while you visit.
