The Store Room has been involved with Cash for Kids for many years, including acting as Mission HQ at The Store Room in Leeds for over 5 years. We are delighted to announce that we are increasing our involvement with Cash for Kids, and will also be acting as Mission HQ at The Store Room in Rotherham!
Who are Cash for Kids and what do they do?
Cash for Kids are an essential charity that support children and young people who are affected by poverty, abuse, neglect, life-limiting illness, and those who have additional needs.
In 2024, they raised £21.4 million and supported 509,580 children.
Cash for Kids host a number of different fundraising events throughout the year, including their “Cash for Kids Day” where they raised £1,032,520 and helped 174,598 children this year! They also provide incredible support for families at Christmas with their Mission Christmas Campaign, where they aim to ensure every child wakes up to a gift on Christmas Day.
How Will The Store Room in Rotherham Support Cash for Kids?
We are thrilled to have the opportunity to support Cash for Kids and the work they do on behalf of local children and families. Lisa Sullivan, the charity manager, said "A massive thank you to The Store Room for donating the storage and space to us free of charge - you are all amazing. We are so thrilled to enhance our relationship with The Store Room who already provide the Mission HQ for our Cash for Kids North & West Yorkshire site".
The Store Room in Rotherham will be donating storage space free of charge, and be acting as Mission HQ for the Mission Christmas campaign; where volunteers will collect, sort and distribute gifts and donations.
When asked, Dan Beer from The Store Room said, "Our company has a longstanding relationship with the charity going back over a decade. Our site on Fitzwilliam Road in Rotherham is ideally located to act as Mission HQ for the area, and our team are incredibly excited to be able to help. Our aim as always will be to help such a worthy cause make a difference to local children, and to be able to help put a smile on as many children's faces as possible".
The Cash for Kids Mission Christmas team will be working at The Store Room from 24th November 2025 – 23rd December 2025.
