Keeping fit and motivated during lockdown is getting more and more difficult. With gyms shut – and no idea when they will next open up – online classes have become a lifeline. If you are looking to change up your workout routine from your standard YouTube videos, plenty of Leeds-based businesses have managed to get their classes online. Staff at our Leeds self storage facility have put together a list of a few of their favourite classes from Leeds-based businesses:

The Dance Studio Leeds

The Dance Studio Leeds have made the transition online, providing an extensive list of regular virtual classes – find the timetable and information on how to join here. If you don’t fancy joining in real-time, they also offer pre-recorded dance lessons available for purchase, which can be bought from their Online Shop. The classes generally cost £5, and there are also package deals available.

Active Leeds

Active Leeds have launched a number of free virtual fitness classes, broadcast live. To join the classes, all you need to do is download the Active Leeds app, and then the classes can be easily streamed from your phone or tablet. Some classes may need equipment; however, many of the classes can be done without. Find out more about the classes, and further information about keeping healthy and active, on their website.

Leeds Beckett Fitness Classes

Keeping active is so important at the moment: if you’re struggling to find motivation, remember that getting outside for a walk can be enough to raise your heart rate and lift your mood. However, if you are looking for some online classes and you live in the Leeds area, then signing up for some of the classes listed above gets in some exercise, and has the added bonus of supporting local businesses. Why not commit to the exercise even more by clearing some dedicated exercise space? If you are in need of some extra storage, then get in touch with staff at The Store Room Leeds!
