At our Manchester storage site we have a longstanding relationship with Salford Royal NHS Trust (often known locally as Hope Hospital) and we were delighted to be able to help them out by donating some storage space to them for a very special reason…
I think everyone would agree that the doctors, nurses and support staff who work for the NHS across the country have done an unbelievable job during the COVID-19 crisis – they truly are heroes. And because of that, Salford Royal were inundated with offers from companies who wanted to donate items to the staff. So much so in fact that they needed extra storage space simply to keep the donations until they could be distributed!
We were more than happy to offer their fundraising team secure storage at our Manchester site (which is just a stones’ through from Salford Royal). It was the least we could do and we hope that the donations put smile on the faces of the incredible staff when they receive them.
We were honoured to be mentioned by Salford Royal and the Northern Care Alliance on Twitter, thanking us for our help.
Dan from our Manchester branch was photographed by the NHS team in one of the storage units which we have donated. Dan went on to say, “It’s a privilege to be able to help in any way we can, and I’m in awe of the generosity of both local and national companies. Most of all – thank you NHS!“.
