The Store Room self storage company has just completed their third major expansion project in Bradford by adding 5,000 sq ft of new self storage rooms to its existing self storage complex on Beckside Road in Bradford. The new storage area has recently opened and customers have already started making use of the new space.

Other space was added in March and August 2013, but as demand for storage has continued to grow, the company has had to expand to keep up.

The company believes that this upturn in demand is great news for the local Bradford area because the extra space is being taken by local businesses who are now looking to expand and from local residents who are in the process of moving house. After years of no real progress in either of those areas, it finally looks as if Bradford businesses are starting to feel good about the future and that the local housing market is starting to pick up. This has to be good news for everyone therefore.

The new section of rooms at the Bradford site is made up of a mix of smaller and larger storage rooms, with individual unit sizes available from 25 sq ft up to 1,000 sq ft. 40 new purpose-built rooms have been added to the existing 200 rooms, which were nearing capacity at the end of last year.

Jeremy Bradburn, The Store Room’s Managing Director said of the expansion, “It’s been a whirlwind start to 2014 for us and the work we have done at our Bradford site is exciting for everyone to see. When the new space in Bradford is added to the expansion projects we have also completed at our Leeds and Leicester locations, our investment in new space so far this year has been significant. This is all down to an increase in demand and I’m certain that we are not done yet! All of the signs are good from our perspective – our customer numbers and enquiry levels are at an all-time high and I am confident that we will soon be building even more rooms to cope with future demand”.
