A storage company is proving there's always ROOM for generosity - even in the tough world of business.

While many firms are fighting the recession by scaling back on charitable donations, The Store Room is actually doing MORE for good causes than ever.

The company, which opened its self-storage site in Leeds around 18 months ago, has signed up to support Cash for Kids.

As well as providing at least £1,000 worth of free storage space, The Store Room has also pitched to take part in our golf day and other events.

And three managers - Paul Siner, Scott Cassidy and Jeremy Bradburn - aim to boost the charity's coffers even further by taking to the streets in May to run the Leeds Half Marathon.

The Store Room sales and marketing manager Paul Siner said: "Times are tough for everyone at the minute, but that's why we think it is more important than ever to do our bit for charity.

"Lots of companies have had to reduce what they do but fortunately The Store Room is in a position where we can still help.

"Cash for Kids is a fantastic cause. All told, by donating storage space, raising money and in donations, we hope to contribute around £2,000."

Charity manager Ros Raine said The Store Room's generosity was a lifeline for the cause - helping them save money on storage costs which could be better spent on helping youngsters.

She added: "I want to say a huge thank you to The Store Room who are getting involved with Cash for Kids in so many ways.

"Not only are they providing the charity with storage space throughout the year, but they're also getting into training to play in our first Golf Day and run the Leeds Half Marathon, all to raise money to help local children."

The Store Room is based at Millshaw III, Millshaw, Leeds, LS11 8EG. For more information on The Store Room call freephone 0500 000 505 or log on to www.thestoreroom.co.uk
