Following on from our news story entitled 'Lets Stick Together!' a few weeks ago that explained how Darren at our Manchester site found a great use for some excess Velcro by donating it to the National Autistic Society in Manchester - the Society included a piece about our donation in their regular newsletter. Below is the original text....Well done Darren!
Velcro donation helps Day Service visual supports
The day sevice were very greatful to Darren Shaw of The Store Room who donated a large amount of Velcro to us.
It may sound a strange thing to donate, however the Day Service use a tremendous amount of Velcro when developing pictorial systems and visual supports for individuals and for displays around the Resource Centres, so obviously this was ideal for us! Many thanks from everyone in the service!
