Cash For Kids Charity Golf Day

Cash For Kids Charity Golf Day

23rd March 2009

We are very proud to support the Cash For Kids charity, and as part of our commitment some our staff took part in their Charity Golf Day. The day was a great success and the store room's very own Paul Siner (far left on the picture opposite) picked up a prize for being 'nearest the pin'. Below is an article from Downtown Radio's website which gives a bit more detail on how the day went and the cause everyone was there to support.

ARTICLE FROM www.downtown.co.uk:

Our first Cash for Kids Golf Day on 18 March 2009 was a huge success and set the pin for what will become an annual event for the charity. Twenty corporate teams teed off in glorious sunshine on the award winning De Vere Oulton Hall course; celebrity Tom O'Connor played for the Cash for Kids team and entertained after dinner; Radio Aire's Simon Logan and Magic 828's Glenn Pinder were on hand for the prize presentation and to host the auction and raffle which raised a fantastic £4,400 for the charity.

The competition was won by the Forward Ladies team, second place went to A C Construction and third went to the Fuse 8 team. Urban Bubble's Matt Foster took the prize for the Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin was won by The Store Room's Paul Siner. R D Stott Architects took home the wooden spoon.

We want to say a huge thank you to De Vere Oulton Hall and Forward Ladies for supporting the first Cash for Kids Golf Day; thank you to our hole sponsors Charles Stanley Stockbrokers, Network Securities UK, Harratts Volvo, Resource Print Solutions and Urban Bubble Property Management.

Thank you to Barclays volunteers - Donna, Lisa, Lee and Maria - who ran the raffle and auction. And last but not least, thank you to all of the companies and individuals supported, played, donated and ultimately made the Cash for Kids Golf Day possible.
